Travel Indonesia

Indonesia, WOW, we made it.

Bali, Denpassar to be exact, I’ve been on my own for a while as Jan needed to “nip back” to the UK for about three weeks and now my Soulmate traveller has returned to travel again on the next leg. Jan has travelled to Indonesia before a few years ago but that was for 2 or 3 weeks only, so Jan is as excited about discovering Indonesia as much as I am.

After a few days in Ulawatu, where we visited the Ulawatu Temple and the Garuda Wisnu Culture Park which is quite awesome really with daily shows and displays to see. We stayed at a fantastic Homestay called “Home Bience Hostel”, we had a private room here and would highly recommend this place, very chilled place with a great homely atmosphere and a great garden to relax in, the owners just can’t do enough to make you comfortable

Indonesia is one of the most beautiful places on earth, almost everywhere we went in Indonesia we had fantastic views of the coast or the countryside, every village or town was pretty, of course, like everywhere in the world, there are places that are run down and poverty does exist here….it’s just not so obvious I guess.

We stayed overnight on Apo Reef in a basic 2 man tent in unbearably hot conditions but enjoyed the snorkelling here as well as other beautiful coral reefs in Indonesia and the Philippines, in fact all over Asia and saw some great sights under the water. Since travelling together, we have both pushed our boundaries regards life under the sea, it’s an amazing world down there and I plead with you to push your comfort zones too and get out there and experience it.
